EBRD and Lvivelektrotrans have signed a loan agreement for the acquisition of new trolleybuses and modernization of the urban transport network

January 18, Egis completed an expert assessment of due diligence for Lviv, on the basis of which the EBRD and Lviv Municipal Enterprise “Lvivelectrotrans” signed a loan agreement worth 17 million euros to renew the rolling stock of the company.

Egis consultants conducted a third due diligence expertise in public transport sector in Ukraine, this time in Lviv. According to Egis, ME “Lvivelectrotrans” intends to use the investment in such a way that in the long term it will significantly improve the conditions of transportation of passengers and strengthen the financial capacity of the municipal transport company as a whole.

In the final result of the project, the Lviv residents will receive:

50 new trolleybuses;
uninterrupted traffic due to renewed electric grids;
modern depot with new repair and diagnostic equipment

Such projects, implemented in close cooperation between Ukrainian and European specialists, improve local expertise of Egis in the field of urban public transport in Ukraine.
