Helios of Egis signed the contract with Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkStatse)

On the 2nd of March, the kick-off meeting on the implementation of the contract for consultancy services for the elaboration of the ATM/CNS Infrastructure Development Plan was held in the head office of UkStatse in Kyiv.

     The contract was signed by Oleksandr Dotsenko, Acting Director of UkSATSE, and Mike Shorthose, Executive Chairman of Helios Technology Limited (belonging to Egis Group).

     The consultancy services will be financed from the grant funds provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). 

     This assignment of 9 months will be divided into three following tasks:

  • Analysis of the existing ATM/CNS infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness of Ukrainian air navigation system
  • Development of the Action Plan
  • Preparation of the outline technical requirements/specifications focussed on the non-typical centralized data-processing infrastructure (i.e. DPC) for launching the first stage of two-stage open international tender.

     At the long-term perspective, the results of the consultation studies will help harmonize the development of the Ukrainian air navigation system with the objectives and goals set out in the Global Air Navigation Plan and the European ATM Master Plan. In the short period of time, provided by Consultant study will determine the list of required capital investments be financed from the loan funds of EBRD and European Investment Bank (EIB) for the further modernization of the Ukrainian state company in purpose to be integrated to the common data processing center. 

     As per Egis, this contract inaugurates the launch of the services of the Group in the Ukrainian market of aviation. That fact is really important for the strengthening of the position of Egis as a consultant with a wide portfolio of services and fields.
