Egis provides a wide range of road engineering services in Ukraine: (1) works supervision, (2) design and design review for road networks and structures, (3) traffic studies and network development planning, (4) support to PPP structuring in road sector. The group possesses an experienced team of local and international experts with a proven professional record in works supervision under FIDIC and local construction standards, working both in Ukraine and in CIS region. All local chief engineers that are employed by Egis hold state certificates for design works and works supervision, which are mandatory in Ukraine.
Egis has a strong experience of organizing and implementing traffic studies, covering the continuous classified vehicle counts, turning movement counts, origin and destination interviews in Ukraine, other surveys. Our traffic engineers and transport economists use collected data for the purpose of traffic modeling and identifying the needed road network developments.
In early 2014 Egis together with the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) started to pilot Output- and Performance Based Road Contract (OPRC) in Ukraine. OPRC is a novel instrument in a road management practice and shall provide Ukravtodor with a cost-effective tool to assign and monitor the implementation of road operation and maintenance contracts. The introduction of OPRC and other forms of delegated management shall allow for a wider involvement of private operators in Ukrainian roads sector. Therefore, besides the performance-based contracting, Egis supports all interested (public and private) stakeholders in legal and financial structuring of roads construction and operation concession projects in Ukraine.
