Delegation of French companies lead by Mr. Nicolas JACHIET, Chairman and CEO of Egis is visiting Ukraine to boost business ties

Kyiv, 5th Feb, 2019 - the business delegation part of MEDEF International (French Business Confederation) comprised of 15 companies is currently visiting Ukraine to explore prospective business opportunities in the country.

     The visit comes within the framework of the Business Council France-Ukraine chaired by Mr. Nicolas JACHIET, Chairman and CEO of Egis.

     Over the 3-day long mission, the members of the French delegation are scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, Vice-Minister Hennadiy Zubko, Minister of Defence Mr. Stepan Poltorak, Vice-Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mr. Mikhail Titarchuk, Minister of Finance Mrs Oksana Markarova, the Heads of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the European Investment Bank (EIB), EU Delegation to Ukraine.

     The above-mentioned meetings will touch upon the current challenges in key sectors such as transport infrastructure, water, waste management, energy and proposed solutions/opportunities for investment from the French side.

     The program started on the 5th of February with a sectorial discussion with the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Volodymyr Omelyan who emphasized the importance of the French investments in Ukraine. At the same time, the Minister declared its satisfaction regarding Egis’s work in Ukraine and the decades long cooperation in achieving a safe, secure, accessible, inclusive, fast and technologically innovative sector and transport infrastructure in Ukraine.

     The Director of Egis Ukraine, Mr. Arnaud de Rugy emphasized some of the flagship projects the company developed as to ensure the mobility of people and goods at the best possible social and safety conditions in Ukraine.
