Tender for another trolleybus sub-project, Egis won in May. The donor is the EBRD.
The next Ukraine Public Transport Framework II: Kherson Trolleybus Sub-Project – Strengthening of the Public Transport Local Regulatory Framework is aimed to assist the City of Kherson in the preparation of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. This plan will consider the views and inputs of the different stakeholders of the City, the most important ones being members of the SUMP Working Group.
The SUMP, that will include the development of a transport model, will become a tool for the City to improve its mobility and accessibility as well as to mitigate negative environmental effects of urban transport.
The Kherson Trolleybus Sub-Project aims at preparing the transition to a more stable and efficient trolleybus service model, within a sound Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, compliant with EU Requirements, notably Regulation n°1370 / 2007.
As such, the project is conceived by Egis as a way of improving present urban mobility conditions and contributing to the preparation of a comprehensive urban transport supply.
