Egis won the tender for the development of urban mobility in Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih

In May, 2020 Egis has been awarded with the contract "Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih Cities Urban Mobility Development Advisor". The donor of the project is the IFC.

The Consultancy assignment is to assist the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih in improving urban mobility and sustainable public transportation systems. Egis also will assist IFC in delivering advisory support to both client cities, including: technical reviews of electrical infrastructure for the trolleybus system modernization and deployment of pilot e-buses in Zaporizhzhia and tramway system modernization in Kryvyi Rih, recommendations on related infrastructure construction/upgrade (e.g. substations, catenary lines, tramway tracks, etc.), cost efficiency analysis, technology selection and technical specifications of respective transport modes in cities.

Egis will also review the existing transportation routes and advise a methodology and institutional capacity improvements for routes network optimization and other measures for financial sustainability of the municipal transport company. In addition, Egis will review the procurement rules and practices of both cities to identify gaps and provide recommendations which will ensure competitive and transparent procurement of the rolling stock and EPC works for the associated projects.
