Kharkiv received the first of 49 trolleybuses under EIB loan

October 22, 2020 - Kharkiv has received the first low-floor, single-section trolleybus of 49 comfortable trolleybuses purchased withing the “Ukraine Urban Public Transport Project” (UUPTP) where Egis acts as the project's technical consultant.

Under the project, the city received a €10 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB)  to upgrade its trolleybus fleet. Egis experts are directly involved in the implementation of this project and assist the city in procurement and factory acceptance of rolling stock.

Also, the UUPTP is one of the key steps in the implementation of Kharkiv’s Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions in the city by at least 30% by the year 2030.
