On 5 December, Laurent Germain, Egis Group CEO, and Olivier Bouvart, Egis Rail CEО, and Zoran ILIĆ, Director of Egis for the Western Balkans visited Belgrade and met with Serbian partners to discuss the construction of Belgrade Metro Project together with Egis team managers. Reminding that within the grant agreement signed in May 2020 between the Serbian and French governments, Egis experts are elaborating the Preliminary Designs, performing Environmental Social Impact Assessment of line 1 phase 1 and the Feasibility Study for the complete metro network.
The foundation for a long-term partnership for the procurement and implementation of the metro engineering, provision of rolling stock and systems between Serbia and France presents the Inter-Governmental Agreement (AIG) signed on 26 November by Franck Riester, the Minister delegate for foreign trade and Siniša Mali, Serbian Minister for Finance, in the presence of President Aleksandar Vucic.
During the visit, the French delegation also had talks with Tomislav Momirović, Minister for Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Siniša Maіli, Minister for Finance, Goran Vesić, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Ivica Kojic, President Vucic's Chief of Staff and in the end with Stanko Kantar, director of Belgrade Metro and Train Authority, the direct Client.
Laurent Germain and Olivier Bouvart also held a meeting with Egis employees in the Belgrade office where the team is working on the metro designs and studies and familiarize themselves with the ongoing activities of the Egis in the region.
