October 21, 2020 - Lutsk has received the first of 29 comfortable 12m-long low-floor trolleybuses purchased with funds from the European Investment Bank. This was made possible due to Lutsk’s participation in the “Ukraine Urban Public Transport Project” (UUPTP) Framework Loan financed by the EIB. Egis acts as a technical consultant of the UUPTP. Under the project, the city will receive a €4.36 million loan to purchase new trolleybuses.
The new trolleybuses will run on route 15. Each trolleybus is equipped with comfortable seats, air-conditioning for passengers and driver, USB ports for charging the gadgets, WIFI access points. Low floor of new trolleybuses and ramps will make city travel accessible for the elderly, disabled persons, and passengers with prams. Thus, residents of Lutsk city could benefit from comfortable and affordable public transport.
Egis is proud to be a part of the public transport modernization in Lutsk.
