“There is no such systematic approach to reforming the transport model in Ukraine. The main goal is to make Mariupol feel what a quality European transport is. Thank you for helping us in this”, the mayor stressed.
It should be reminded that the total contract amount - € 15.2 million. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has provided € 12.2 million. The E5P grant is € 3 million. It envisages delivery of 72 trolleybuses, 15 of them with autonomous running 20 km. The first batch of 12 transport units should arrive in Mariupol in twelve weeks. These trolleybuses are some of the best in the world in terms of technical indicators. They operate autonomously and charge from the contact network. Transportation will have wi-fi, modern air conditioning systems and passenger flow metering.
In this project (UPTF - Mariupol Trolleybus - Project Implementation Support and Engineering Services), Egis acted as a Consultant, which was responsible for supporting the implementation of the project, preparing the tender documentation and preparing the signed Contract.
