Mission of Remi CUNIN and James CHOPTY in Ukraine (series of meetings with new ministers)

On October 25, 2019, representatives of the Egis International Group met with the new Minister of Regional Development, Alona BABAK, and the new Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Vladyslav KRIKLII.

     Participants of the meeting discussed current and planned technical assistance projects implemented by the Ministry together with Egis, as well as prospects for future cooperation.

     Alona BABAK asked Egis about assistance and advise to develop innovative means of financing municipal water, energy and environment projects, in order to answer the major needs of investment in those sectors in Ukraine.

     Vladyslav Kryklii thanked Egis representatives for their fruitful cooperation for the development of the Ukrainian transport industry and noted for the successful implementation of joint projects.

     Minister thanked Egis representatives for their fruitful cooperation for the development of the Ukrainian transport industry and noted for the successful implementation of joint projects, in particular, such as: rehabilitation, modernization and maintenance of the highways of Ukraine M-06 Kyiv-Chop and M-03 Kyiv-Kharkiv; development of feasibility studies of pilot concession projects, construction of roads and modernization of public transport in Kyiv and Lviv; management of the EBRD Pilot Project on a Performance Management Contract (OPRC) for the maintenance of the M-06 highway; support in developing a national transport model and master plan; supporting the implementation of the Association Agreement and the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine; modernization and improvement of road network safety in Ukraine and others.

     Egis representatives expressed their readiness to continue supporting the Ministry of Regional Development and Ministry of Infrastructure and extend the cooperation.
