Nationwide surveys of drivers and passengers in the framework of establishment of the National Transport Model and the Master Plan

On May 13, the EU project " Assistance to the Ukrainian authorities for establishment of national transport model and master plan" began a survey of Ukrainian citizens on how to plan the transport infrastructure of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine together with the European Union in Ukraine and EGIS Ukraine and A + S, is implementing the project is  to create a plan for the development of Ukrainian infrastructure for 10-15 years ahead. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to analyze the large amount of data collected by surveyors during the roadside interviews. The obtained data will help to create a transport model that meets the needs and requirements of Ukrainian citizens.

Surveys will last until July 1, 2019.  Surveyors of Egis Ukraina  are expected to collect  tens of thousands interviews of drivers and passengers in all regions of our country.

Deputy Head of the EU Technical Assistance Project Olivier Uden confirmed that this is the key stage of the project: "In two months, our team in Ukraine will ask you a few questions. We need your answers on where you are going and where your transport habits come from. All this information will help us to develop a transport model, on the basis of which it will be determined exactly where to direct investments in Ukraine in the next 10-15 years. "

     On average per day are:

  • 350 polls of passenger cars
  • 200 polls of truck drivers
  • 2-3 minutes for a car interview
  • 6-7 minutes - trucks
  • !! 90% - the rate of those who agree to respond, understanding the importance of our project and personal contribution to the improvement of infrastructure.

We express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the polls and encourage other drivers and passengers to join the project, because this is the convenience and efficiency of the transport infrastructure for all of us!

Special thanks to the Patrol Police of Ukraine for the extraordinary assistance in implementing the project!
