Transfer of Know-How Study Tour between Lithuania and Ukraine

On 5-8 November, a business meeting was held in Lithuania on the practical implementation and enforcement of the EU Directives.

     In partnership with the Lithuanian Transport Safety Agency (LTSA), the EU-financed project “Support to the implementation of the association agreement and of the national strategy in the transport sector in Ukraine” organized a study tour meant to strengthen the capacity of the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure and other competent authorities in the transposition of the EU directives and regulations into the Ukrainian legislation and enforcement thereof.

     In this context, during 5-8 November, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure - General Directorate for Transport Safety, the State Service for Transport Safety and Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport familiarized themselves with the practical implementation and enforcement of the EU Directives 2014/45 on roadworthiness tests and Directive 2014/47 on road side inspections of best law essay writers.

     During the study tour, the participants got acquainted with the respective functions of the Lithuanian Transport Safety Agency (Vilnius) and visited the companies licensed for performing worthiness tests and visit road inspections in Vilnius and Klaipeda (Klaipeda roadworthiness inspection post).

     The experience of Lithuania as a new EU Member State is particularly of the interest to Ukraine after the Association Agreement has been ratified.
