The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRR) has approved the Ukraine Public Transport Framework in the amount of EUR 100 million to support investments in public transport renewal in Ukrainian cities.
Lviv is known to be a well-developed touristic centre and the densest and the most dynamic IT-hub of Ukraine. Moreover, during last 10 years city was an active partner of European financial institutions on attraction investment for its own infrastructure modernisation. Thanks to being allocated with European grants and loans, the city has achieved to reconstruct their own roads and construct a new tramline, modernise the district heating system, as well as wastewater treatment facilities. Furthermore, in cooperation with French government Lviv community have attained to develop the feasibility study on waste treatment and MBT plant construction. This year has marked the commencement of the trolleybus project initiative.
