Project overview

This consultancy services project covers the rehabilitation and partial reconstruction of approximately 114 km (which about 96 km of 2x2 lanes and the remaining km are 2x1 lane) of the existing class II road from Rivne to Zhytomyr according to the FIDIC Red Book , EBRD rules and the Ukrainian legislation.

Our missions

The duties of Egis (the Consultant) included:

  • regular site inspections and daily site reporting, checking and approval of the Contractors laboratories;
  • review and approve the Quality Assurance Plan submitted by the Contractor;
  • timely identification of works  delays and providing recommendation to the Employer;
  • organisation of provisional, temporary and partial takeovers of works;
  • analyse the claims submitted by the Contractors and report upon whether the claims have been submitted in accordance Dispute procedures;
  • report to the Employer any event or dispute which requires the intervention of the Employer and will assist in resolving any dispute.
  • supervise the Contractors in all matters concerning safety and care of works and environmental protection;
  • supervise, verify and correct, if necessary, the Contractor's "as-built" drawings.
