In 1996 Egis created a subsidiary in Ukraine - Egis Ukraina

Today, Egis Ukraina has over 100 full-time and part-time employees. The central office of the branch is located in the city of Kyiv; Project offices are located in Kharkiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. By acting as the local partner of the Egis Group in Ukraine and the CIS countries, Egis Ukraina performs and supports a range of group projects , as well as maintains a permanent coordination with local authorities.

Egis has been present in Ukraine since 1993. Acknowledging the importance of ongoing institutional and administrative reform in Ukraine, the European Commission delegated to one of Egis Group` companies a mandate to assist the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine in its institutionalization as a policy regulator.

Over the next 20 years Egis, a key engineering group in France, continued its support to the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine, the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) as well as other executive bodies in Ukraine. Till now Egis took active part in a number of IFI-funded initiatives dealing with transport sector policy, traffic modeling and road network studies in Ukraine, but also extended its activities in the field of specific transport modes (road, air, sea and sea/rail). Besides the transport sector, in Ukraine Egis maintains its involvement in:

  • urban transport (electric transport, subway) and traffic management,
  • municipal services (water supply and sewage, heating),
  • energy supply and energy efficiency,
  • environmental protection.

In 1996 Egis established a subsidiary company – Egis Ukraina. Now Egis Ukraina has more than 50 employees working on a full-time and part-time schedules. Its central office is located in Kyiv and project offices are hosted in Odessa, Poltava, Dnieproteprovsk and Lviv. Being a local partner of Egis Group in Ukraine and CIS region Egis Ukraina supports and manages a number of Group`s projects, but also holds effective policy dialogue with local authorities.
